GO took control of day to day operations of a Company offering civil engineering, groundworks and remediation services;

During the GO tenure the employee numbers increased from 68 to 175  and the turnover increased from £13.2M £35M.

The company offered client-focused solutions that included turn-key options.

GO were responsible for technical support to the all the companies divisions and employees, heading the technical department with responsibility for supporting divisions in the technical and statutory compliance fields

Key Responsibilities

    • Liaison with clients and statutory and licencing bodies to facilitate the Groups works and ensured long-lasting relationships

    • Assessing technical overview within remediation tender process, reviewing incoming project enquiries and outgoing tender submissions - supporting and input tenders and technical solution proposals

    • Ownership for the appointment of consultants and specialist contractors; reviewing scopes and works packages of consultants and specialist contractors prior to appointments

    • Accountable for programming of remediation projects and the implementation of site works; oversight for the generation of project programmes, cash flows, implementation plans and reviewing performances against these

    • Managing technical aspects of works and the supervision of remediation contracts managers; offering divisions of the company, management of the technical elements of projects. Total overview of remediation projects.

    • SHEQ department and review - reported and developed the division to a high performing department of the Group

  • GO improved financial planning and cashflow control on projects

  • Developed enhanced operational processes and service provision through reviewing and enhancing operational processes and service provision via improved reporting and requisition processing

  • Managed technical aspects of works and supervision of remediation contracts managers - as part of the strategic plan, remediation was a new service being offered. Personally took control of the contracts management and financial performances

  • SHEQ compliance monitoring - general review and improvement of the Group of companies.
